Map
Every site where we plant is georeferenced and publicly mapped. This is our record of where the work has happened.
Method
Coordinates are collected on site by our field operator during routine monitoring visits. Each entry is recorded with a mobile GPS device (consumer-grade accuracy, typically within several meters) alongside the host institution or household, village, sub-county, species composition, and tree counts.
Legend
Each pin marks one monitored site; a family compound, school, parish, or health facility where trees have been planted and are being tracked. Clusters group nearby sites at lower zoom levels; zoom in to separate them. Associated data for each site includes species and tree counts, location details, and field notes.
Detailed site information is being integrated. Clicking a pin currently shows location only.
Limitations
The map records planting and monitoring sites verified during field visits. It does not display tree survival rates, growth data, or planting dates, these are tracked in separate field reports. Sites without confirmed GPS coordinates at the time of the last field visit are not represented.
Data and contact
Current data reflects field records from November 2025. The map is updated periodically, as field visits occur. It is a snapshot, not a live feed.
Field data is collected and maintained by Amici di Angal OdV. For access to the underlying dataset or questions about specific sites, write to info@thetreesproject.org
